WEB SITE PROMOTION (PART 2)

http://www.parvindersingh.com/pics/slide3.jpg

Getting A Better Rank For All Of Your Pages!----

In one of my articles, I discussed how to market your web site link twice. It detailed out how to promote not only www.yoursite.com but how you should also promote your site without the www., like this: http://yoursite.com.

This article is to talk about promoting ALL of your pages within your marketing campaign. See, most of us typically only promote the main page on our sites. Ex. www.yoursite.com. The truth is, your site is much more than just the 1st page right? Well, let's condition ourselves to promote everything available within your site...

Search Engine Marketing is crucial for all companies who want to succeed online. I'm sure at one point or another, you will hear how "Optimizing your site for search engines is crucial". Of course, they aren't fooling you, it is a crucial marketing tactic but, what is also crucial is learning how to use different tools to boost your search engine placements once you've optimized your site for the web.

So let's talk about the marketing tactics available to you and implement strategies on how to promote all your pages within them.

LINK EXCHANGES:

Link popularity has become a norm for most small companies to implement in their daily promoting activities. Here's the problem, most companies that perform link exchanges daily fail to utilize it to their advantage. For ex. Let's say you perform approximately 10 link exchanges daily. For each one, you submitted your link "www.yoursite.com". What you'll want to start implementing is submitting 10 different links within your site.

Ex Link Exchanges:

Link #1: http://yoursite.com
Link #2: http://yoursite.com/resources
Link #3: http://www.yoursite.com/services
And so on...

A good strategy would be to open up "Note Pad" and create all the links you want to promote.

1) Add each link
2) Assign an appropriate title to each link
3) Create an appropriate description for each link

Now all you have to do is to copy and paste each link when performing your daily link exchanges.

WRITING ARTICLES:

Do you write articles to promote your site??? If you do, then you probably have created a "Resource Box" at the end of each article right??? Good, let's change the resource box a little.

My site is host to 100's of Marketing Articles and the 1 thing I notice time & time again is that each author (no disrespect to any of the wonderful authors) Typically only add the main page of their web site within their "resource box".

Ok, let's say you write articles about "Search Engine Marketing". At the end of the article, add a link to a page on your site that talks about "Search Engine Marketing" or something similar.

Ex. http://www.yoursite.com/search_engine_marketing.html

So with that in mind, try revising all your articles to point to specific pages on your web site.

DIRECTORY SUBMISSIONS:

Submitting your site to directories will give your site long lasting traffic. Not all directories will accept any link from your site besides the main page. This is ok though, there are literally 100's of other directories that will allow you to submit any page you want.

Experiment with this and try to change up all your links when your submitting to directories.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND : Using anything other than your main page for directories like: OPD Open Project Directory or Yahoo.

So now you have 3 proven marketing strategies on how to improve your search engine placements for all of your pages instead of only your main page. Be creative with this and look for more strategies you can implement this tactic with.

Getting Visitors To Stay Through Web Based Marketing---

9/10 times your web site visitors won't stay for more than 15 seconds. This is how you get them to stay, or should I say, get them to come back!

For most of you, your web site is a great brochure. It probably outlines your services very well. There's nothing wrong with that what-so-ever!

but...

There are creative marketing strategies that you can implement so that you don't entirely loose your clients, you just need to keep them in the loop for when the time comes for them to buy.

"Marketing Online - Is about creative patience"

Being creative with your web marketing ventures is crucial but it doesn't necessarily react like print magazine ads or like newspaper press releases. No, it takes time for something to kick into full force.

This is why you should always keep on top of creating something new because, just like regular marketing, if you don't have another campaign ready to go when your done this one, you'll start to loose prospects on the way and create a slow period for your business.

You want your world online to consistently grow. Don't grow too quickly, just grow and keep growing with all your marketing efforts.

Here are some of the marketing strategies you can implement:

- Create an online newsletters
- Give something away for free
- Create online questionnaires
- Engage yourself into discussion groups
- Write helpful tips
- Create local resources for others
- Have a section of tips from others in your field
- Create a forum on your site

As you can see, these are all marketing strategies that ingage people in some way. The key is to create emotion through your visitors. Once you've engaged someone from your site, your site will be imprinted on their mind. It may take them a year to buy something from you but once in a while, maybe even weekly, they will keep coming back to your site.

The important thing to remember is that, eventually, we loose all of our visitors, even more important is to find marketing ventures that keep them coming back from time to time.

Just because someone saw your service today, doesn't mean that he/she is ready to buy what you are offering. Many people "Shop For Tomorrow". They like to browse around, see the options out there before they dig into their wallet.

I hope this article will spawn off some ideas for you!

Give It Away For Free And Get Paid For It Later----

Do you know that there is actually an advertising strategy that your target clients love? It’s something that they look forward to. In fact, everybody probably is waiting for you to provide them with one every now and then.

What am I talking about? It’s called promotional give-aways. That’s right! When you give something for free as a promotional product, chances are great that you’ll be paid for it later on.

Promotional items are basically useful and decorative items handed out by business owners to promote or market their business. The items are generally designed via commercial printing with a company’s logo, name, and even a message. And people actually love them. You could often see people grabbing for these items in trade shows and exhibits.

This type of advertising strategy is commonly employed by businesses, small and large, to encourage and maintain the kind of business they do with their clients and prospects. Actually, business owners and marketers alike use promotional products to help them maintain a stronger relationship with their colleagues and clients.

Nowadays, promotional items are given away as tokens, incentives, advertising specialties and gifts to advertise one’s business. They are often seen in trade shows, as well as in direct mail marketing strategies to generate new leads, as well as to measure marketing results for the business.

Examples of promotional items are t-shirts with logo brands, caps, key chains, stickers, pens, mouse pads, mugs, among others.

So why do people love this kind of marketing campaign? It’s more of the giving it away for free part that sticks to your clients minds. As a human being, we tend to attach an emotional factor to a product that is given for free. Rather than work as a promotional tool, a promotional product stands as a token of appreciation from you to your customers and potential clients. It’s more of a gift rather than a sales pitch for your business.

In addition, most promotional merchandise appeal to the specific group that they were purposely made for. They are made to target a specific market, that’s why they are also tailor made according to the needs, wants and desires of your target audience.

And these promotional products have an actual purpose. It’s not just a frivolity of a business to develop such items for their marketing campaign. When you accept a promotional item, it fosters an emotional commitment on the part of your target clients to give in return. This simply means that you encourage a commitment from your clients to do business with you.

People are basically appreciative of tokens given for free. That’s why they’ll surely show you their appreciation by doing more business with you.

It really pays to give something for free for you will surely reap the rewards after the good deed is done.

Going Back to the Village---

The lady on the phone insisted for the third time: “You will get a real good position and only for this price.” After several calls, dozens of e-mails and talks she had with her manager for us, she offered ‘her’ reduction to me. All this service without being asked. She was selling ‘positions’ for a big search engine. For the good order: the positions are related to keywords, which people use when searching on the internet and which can be called the ‘core’ of the whole internet marketing.

“Well, let me see my position then” I said. Following the instructions given by her I typed in the keywords. And there I was. Having not been on this search engine for a long time, I was surprised.

Almost every part, every space of the result page was filled with links, banners, sponsored sites and ‘hikis and fikis’ or whatever it might be called. The results, for which a search engine is actually used for, looked like a land of borders: on the top, middle and bottom of the results were three sponsored links placed. I don’t know why, but suddenly this chaos on the screen reminded me of the metropolitan suburbs of developing countries.

Only buildings next to each other; one higher or uglier than the other one. No matter if you have rented a room on the top, middle or on the first floor you easily get the feeling of suffocating only by watching. You would rather leave and never come back.

How come, I am having the same feeling now? How fast did this happen?

It was not long ago; maybe six or seven years, when the internet got integrated in daily life and I also started to use it. Without being disrupted I could go through to the tenth page of the results. While searching the feeling of being surprised by the expected results arose. It was like the results were your own, only yours. The cleanness of the pages surely supported such feelings.

Later, surfing on the internet diminished to five or six pages. And by now I do not surf more than two pages of the results. This is amazing! Although meanwhile the amount of sites that have been created by people and the data of search engines have been growing in high speed, people are now not going further than the second page. Why? Is it because the search engines give better results within the first two pages? Or is it because of the tiredness that afflicts you while searching? I suppose it is more the second option.

I would call this the effect of the ‘urbanization of internet’. Like the cities, the internet has grown fast, uncoordinated and hungry. As a result web-buildings don’t really differ from city-buildings in developing countries. You would like to leave as soon as possible.

Billions of keyword combinations are offered for sale. The more popular the keywords, or lets say the more commercial the keywords, the faster a result page grows and the more expensive a place is getting there.

Now she was offering me the possibility of renting a good position in one of these “suburbs” of the internet. And this for a good price for the next 12 months!

The words, by themselves, flew out of my mouth: ‘I would rather go back to the village,’ I said. ‘The country side, you know?’, I repeated slowly.

Probably, she couldn’t place my comments. She thought a bit and said: ‘Yes, yes. That is what all of us want to do in the end. But till then think about the usage of the keyword position I offered to you.”

Well, what can I say: let’s think then about the keywords and positions that are so determined in our businesses and in our developments either as a company or as a daily user of this immense machine going on.

Before the end, well to remember!

Google Best Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Practices ---

The third part of this article will concentrate on the meta tags area of the optimization for Google. I will mention them in the order they should normally appear in the source code. I will review 5 essential meta areas.

The DTD statement.
This should be the first tag of the head section of your code. The Document Type Definition Statement allows faster and deeper indexing with Google, shortening the time your site will be in the “trustbox” as well. HTML 4.0 or 4.01 should be the standard, and for most cases, the Transitional type should be used.

The title, the most important.
Why? Because there are 3 elements in SEO: the listing (were title is the main element) the click-through (were title is the main reason) and conversion (which is the object of all optimization work) Also, if that is not reason enough (it should) it is the single element that gests indexed and used to list the link text in the Google SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). An average of 7 to 8 words length is optimal.

The description.
Used by Google to create a text summary in describing the page if available, so make sure the content of this tag is friendly to the searcher, not the search engine. If you are in a competitive market, this tag is not taken into account, but you should have it for your visitor. An average length of 150 characters is good.

The keywords.
Google actually uses this tag against you, by that meaning it is used as a spam check point for the page content. Also, do not include your niche keywords here, as you will be given your competition tips about your optimization. Put your main keywords across the content instead. Here use an average of 200 characters.
Make sure you are using different sets of keywords per page, in other words, that they are unique to each particular page.

The charset type.
Another element of the head section, this one tells the browser what to do when it encounters certain characters in your pages. Google indexes pages easier with the 8859-1 tag, since it will not do any data encoding, which can take a lot of extra time. The UTF-8 tag involves encoding and it should be used for forms that accept non standard characters, like foreign users from other countries.

Great News into Link Popularity----

When it comes to Link popularity and its relevance into getting better traffic, we all know that it is a necessary thing. Link popularity is one of the ways that search engines like google and yahoo give your site better rankings. You can search through different sites advertising about link popularity that say they can increase it overnight with thousands of links directing to your site.

Let me tell you something, this is a bad decision to make if you are thinking about any of these services. I have experience in this field and thousands of links are not going to help your site out any!

One of the best ways to approach link popularity is to think about the relevance of your site to one you would like to link to. It is better for you to have a small amount of links to your site than having a large amount if the relevance is high! The higher the relevance, the less links you need to have to increase your popularity. Google and Yahoo do not only look at the amount of links, but the quality of links. The better quality, the better positioning and page rank. So do yourself a favor and work on getting your links on quality relevant websites and you will reap the rewards of doing this right!

Have you ever tried building a link Directory?----

So you’ve just built your brand new web site and now you need to get it notice, no point having a web site if nobody comes and looks at what you have done. So you decide that the best way to get listed in the search engines is to have other web sites link to you but how to do you go about.

Well unless you know how to write HTML and are able to write your own web pages the best way to create link pages is to get your hands on some sort of link software. I personally use Arelis from Axandra but there others out there. This software allows me to create link pages, search for link partners, send emails to prospective partners, and keep track of each web site you have linked. But really and truly this is just the start of the process don’t be fooled in believing that it is easy because despite the promises you might get when getting your software it will still take time and hard work on your part to build a successful link directory.

So before you begin take some time to decide how you want your link directory to look and want sort of partners you want to approach. Make sure you have a good description written for your site and your site itself has something to offer others. A site built purely for advertising really doesn’t offer anything to anybody. Concentrate your link partners on your sites subject matter, I.E. if your site is about computers don’t look for partners with sites about travel and sport, a small collection of links directly related to your site is better then hundreds of links with absolutely nothing to with your site.

Now you are ready to begin, I would recommend placing a few links on your pages first that link to articles and resources covering your subject matter that way when inviting people to link to you they see a page which already has links on it and not just a page with their link on it indicating a freshly created page, showing others you have already begun work on a really useful directory which would make sense for them to be part of it. At this point it might be useful to use a link exchange directory, there are several around like Linkmarket.com and Link Metro.Com. Using these sites you should be able to pick up a few early links to get you moving and also see how others are going about doing the same thing but be careful as well, I have fallen foul of some dirty tricks as well. I have placed links to sites where the webmaster had agreed to link but then they fail to place your link or put it on page which will never then be found by anybody let alone the search engines.

In the early stages of your linking programme don’t worry too much about PR but you do need to try and get links on pages which are visible in the search engines this will then allow your pages to start to get picked up as well. Don’t be put off by other webmasters blatantly ignoring your requests for links, it happens to me all the time you jut have to keep plugging away. I think some people forget they had to start from scratch as well and because it happened to them they feel it is alright to do it to others. When trying to get links make sure you look around the site you are requesting a link from, you need to make sure there is a link from their home page to their link pages after all if you can’t find the links how will their visitors to their site find them. Make sure their link pages is well organised you don’t your link on page where the majority already on there has nothing to do with your sites subject. Its common sense really you don’t look for software in amongst weight loss sites.
You’ve now finally got some sites to link to you and your site is starting to take off, it is now where it becomes more important to keep plugging away. Start to send emails to prospective partners, include your URL, link anchor text and description and most importantly include the URL of the page where you have already added their link. Try to offer them something and point out the benefits of a link from you. Also search out other methods of getting links to your site, fill out exchange forms that some sites offer and try to get your self listed in internet directories. You can find a great list of free directories to submit to at directorycritic.com. Don’t become disillusioned too early as I said early this won’t happen overnight it will take time and hard work on your part and will need you to keep plugging away at it.

I hope you find what I have had to say useful but please bear in mind these are only my opinions, based on my experiences. My site has been on line since September 2005 and as I write I am still trying to build my link directory. I have had some success and my pages now have page rank but it has taken quite a bit of hard work on my part.

How Exchanging Links With Other Sites Improves Your Own----

Business websites are a necessity in today's society and the internet is only as good as its links. Without links, the internet simply would not be able to exist. To ensure a quality World Wide Web continues, you must provide links that your customers might be interested in. Linking to other sites helps tell the customers which products you use and trust. It also forms a bond of trust between you and other sites. Moreover, it can improve your own site by associating with other products that customers both know and trust and by giving you an increased level of visibility. There are two kinds of links you should include in your site. You should include a general links section for the benefit of your customers, and you should include a reciprocal links section to help you and other businesses as well as your customers.

There are several ways to decide which general links to include in your site. You might start by visiting competitor’s web sites. Check out their links section to understand what sites they provide links for. This might help you figure out what your customers are looking for. It might also provide you with a good base for a reciprocal linking system, which will be discussed in the next lesson.

Another way to decide what general links to include in your site is to consult with your customers. Internet-savvy customers will be able to tell you what they look for in a professional site and what they like and do not like about your links. This can help you control the quality of your links section. You could do this through a survey or by simply informally interviewing your clientele.

Be sure to provide general links that have a high page rank with internet search engines. This will increase your web traffic. You can do this by typing a key phrase in a search engine and look at the highest ranked pages that match your results.

General links are great, but reciprocal links are an essential part to the promotion of your website. You have a strong site that offers your quality product and you want people to know about your site. To make sure that you get the traffic you need, you must have other sites directed toward yours with links.

This process is fairly simply, but there are many ways to engage in reciprocal linking.

First, research the sites you might want to link to. You might start this process by making two lists. First, list the sites you think your customers might be interested in. For now, just write, you can consider narrowing your list down at a later time. Next, create a list of sites that would benefit your site. You can then compare the two lists and see what they have in common. Compile a list of common subjects, and list out three key words to fit with each subject.

After the research phase, it is time to go online. Find a Meta search engine and input all three words for each subject. Any site that comes back with all three keywords should be high on your priority list.

Once you've done that, it is time to start sifting through your results. Bookmark any sites that look promising.

When you've made your final choices, it is time to draft a letter to the webmaster of each site you're considering. Get to the point quickly and sell your site to them. Do not follow up if your original letter was not responded to.

The final step in this process is to negotiate the link and location in terms of both sites. As soon as possible, get their link on your site and send them a note letting them now you have a live link to their site. Check their site frequently to ensure they are upholding their promise to you as well.

The entire process of choosing links and reciprocal links increases your visibility to customers. Not only will they be able to find you through the use of a search engine, they will now be able to find you through the use of other websites. This can mean nothing but good things for you and your website.

How Link Pop Affects Your Website's Page Rank-----

What is Link Pop?

Link popularity, sometimes referred to as "Link Pop," plays a very important role in determining a website's visibility among the top returned search results. Your site's link pop will be determined by the quality, quantity, and relevance of the other websites that link to your page.

What is Page Rank?

"Page Rank," sometimes abbreviated PR, was developed by Google's founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Here is how Google describes the "Page Rank" system:
Page Rank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important."
Important, high-quality sites receive a higher Page Rank, which Google remembers each time it conducts a search. Of course, important pages mean nothing to you if they don't match your query. So, Google combines Page Rank with sophisticated text-matching techniques to find pages that are both important and relevant to your search. Google goes far beyond the number of times a term appears on a page and examines all aspects of the page's content (and the content of the pages linking to it) to determine if it's a good match for your query.
Page Rank is rated on a scale of PR-0 to PR-10. A site with a ranking of PR-10 is much higher than one rated PR-0. When a site has a high page ranking, there will be more opportunities for search engine users to locate and view the site. Thus, more traffic will be routed to that site because it is viewed by the web community as a valuable resource.

What Does This Mean For You?

In theory, the more "popular" a website is, the higher its PR will be. Here's a quick recap on how to sustain strong "link pop" and Google PR:

To Improve Your "Link Pop":

" Generate as many one-way, non-reciprocal links as possible. Make sure your link is listed by credible websites ONLY.
" Your "Link Pop" can be improved when the websites that link to yours have a higher Google PR than you do. This is considered a heavily weighted "vote" towards your site. However, do make sure to link to pages with various PR's.
" Create reciprocal links with websites that are relevant to yours. If your website sells cat toys, link to a pet lover's site, and cat-sitting service, etc.

It Doesn't Matter If:

" You provide one-way links to other sites that are relevant to yours. As long as you don't have too many uncategorized links, this will not hurt your site's "Link Pop"; however, it does not directly contribute to improving it.

Tips to Avoid Diminishing Your Site's PR:

" Do not submit your website to "Link Farms" or "Free-For-All" (FFA) directories. Google views these as spam sites and will thus lower your PR.
" Exchanging links with irrelevant websites can lower your PR. ONLY reciprocate links with similar credible sources. Just think: "Is this valuable to my readers?"
" Make sure to vary your links. A reciprocal-link campaign with no non-reciprocals tells Google your site isn't worthy of one-way links.

The bottom line: A strong "Link Pop" and "Page Rank" equals more visitors to your website!

And a great way to increase your websites link popularity is to submit your website to free link directories.

How Reinvention Can Render Your Brand Immortal-----

It’s always a good thing to start over when you don’t get the results you expect from your marketing campaign. It might be that you’re doing it wrong or maybe because you haven’t been able to zero in on your brand the first time.

Whatever your reason, you however, must realize that a makeover of your brand can make or break your business. Re-branding is not always the right choice to increase your sales that have become too lethargic, or to surpass the competition. It all depends on the makeover itself.

Reinventing the wheel as they say with your brand can be vital if done right. On the other hand, it can be nothing short of dangerous when you create more mistakes than good. You have to remember that a makeover can only be effective if your kind of service is really something different from all the rest, and that customer experience is equal or worth more than what your clients expect from you. Without these factors, however which way you do it; your reinvention of your brand won’t cut it.

Second, you should also remember that changes that are so different from the first can drastically change the kind of brand you would want to be known for. And it might eventually lose you your clients instead of generating new ones to add to the list. While this may be horrible to even consider, yet you cannot discount the fact that this result is inevitable. You will always lose clients even if you ensure that you gain new ones. Catching a wider set of clients and prospects with your re-branding will always have consequences that you might not be ready to accept.

So when is it the right time to do a makeover? When your image is not truly reflected in the first place, then reinventing your brand may just be the best thing to do for your business. A poor quality marketing tool, even if done by an expensive commercial color printing company, is of no value to you, and will do more damage than help you increase your sales.

Does your brand reflect your true image, your objective, and your values? Or your brand is a contradiction of what you actually uphold as your brand of customer service? Is your promise to deliver reflected in your brand?

If it doesn’t match those of your product’s benefits, then it would just be a waste of your time, money and effort to continue using your brand. It won’t make any difference at all even if you utilize it for many years more.

Perhaps you really need a makeover. Or perhaps the original can be adapted and updated to make it look fresh again. The key is to make sure that your brand will not lose its appeal to your clients, and instead help you gain more for your business.

How to Boost Your Website Traffic and Profits with Content!-----

Are you aware of how vitally important and valuable CONTENT is to your online business? In fact, content can do more to build your business and profits than just about any other resource or service available.

Following is a list of 5 key ways that content can help build your website traffic, subscribers, and customers starting today!...

1. Boost your search engine ranking and daily visitor count by posting keyword rich articles and content on your website. For example, if your business involves offering products and services related to internet marketing, posting internet marketing related articles and content will attract unlimited prospective customers on a regular basis!

2. Generate double or even triple the number of newsletter subscribers you do currently, simply by offering content in the form of "special reports" or manuals as bonuses for subscribing to your publication. People love freebies, so give them what they want and watch as your results increase!

3. Create an automated cashflow by using content to formulate multi-part email training courses with related website or affiliate links "sprinkled" throughout each course. Use an autoresponder service to automate the delivery of your training course (such as a 5 part training course delivered over a 5 day period).

Training courses can also serve as excellent bonus offers for your prospective newsletter subscribers.

4. One of the most important keys to a successful online business is not JUST having a list of mailing list or newsletter subscribers... It's about building a trusting relationship with your subscribers (ie, "cultivating" your list)...

By sending informative articles (content) to your list on a regular basis you will establish yourself as an expert on your topic of business, as well as gain the trust of your subscribers over time. As a result, your subscribers will be EAGER to take advantage of your "paid" product and service offers. (Just make sure that you NEVER take advantage of the relationship you develop with your list by offering products or services of poor quality just to make a quick buck!)

If there is one "constant" in Internet marketing, it's this: A cultivated list of subscribers is as good as money in the bank. Write that down and never forget it!

5. Another excellent way to generate no cost website traffic is by submitting ready-made articles to "content hungry" website and newsletter publishers with your "resource box" attached. A resource box is nothing more than a little 3-6 line "bio" about you and/or your web-site - including a link to your site (or even instructions on how to subscribe to your newsletter)...

When submitting or offering your article(s) for reprint purposes, just make sure to specify that each article is to be reprinted "as is" with your resource box attached.

...Even one article can go a LONG way towards generating no cost website traffic and visitors for you. Just imagine your article being sent out to a newsletter subscriber base of 100,000 individuals - many of whom will be reading YOUR included resource box and clicking on your URL to learn more about what you have to offer!

Well there you have it, 5 sure ways to build your online business exponentially with the help of articles and content...

With the declining effectiveness of many of the online advertising methods that we've relied on in past years, content is only strengthening its position as the ultimate KEY to generating unlimited website traffic, subscribers, and customers!

How To Create Flyers That Win Clients----

Advertising flyers are definitely the most cost effective marketing tool you can use to spread out the word on your business. You can hand them out, post them, hang them up, or even leave them where your clients and prospects can get them.

The beauty of it is that you could either do your own advertising flyers or get a flyer printing company to produce them for you. Either way, you need to consider some of these things to help you create the most hardworking tool that can win your clients for you.

Pictures do paint a thousand words…
They do paint a hundred and thousand words that your flyer printing copy may not be able to. Use photos and graphics to emphasize your benefits. You can either scan your photos or you can look at stock graphic images available in software and on the Internet. Sometimes they’re free but most of the time you could buy them for a minimal fee. Just remember to choose the image that would most likely help you make your message clearer and simpler for your target readers.

Provide guarantees that you can actually deliver…
Do not, and I mean ever, include claims in your ad that you can’t actually deliver. Your readers will know it, believe it or not. And nothing turns them off that fast. You can always be positive in your story, but never go beyond than what you can provide your prospects.

Focus on what’s important…
Identify which is the most important idea or message in your ad, and then focus on that. Position that idea to make it more prominent in your whole ad. Upsize it, increase its density – the key is to make it the single most dominant feature in your ad to catch the attention of your readers.

Stick with what you have…
If you have your message or idea, stick with it even if you feel that you’ve been promoting it for so long. Being consistent in what you say can get you the success you need to make your clients and prospects remember you. Repeat marketing helps increase familiarity among your readers. And remember that what matters is what your clients and prospects feel about your ad. It doesn’t matter that your campaign is too old for you; it remains fresh to each and every new prospect that sees it.

Simplicity…
A good design is often made simple and clear. It doesn’t have to be so complicated that you’re having sleepless nights about it. A flyer printing project is even simpler. You can get pictures and graphics from collections available online and even from a software. With your fonts, you just have to apply two typefaces max so as not to clutter your ad too much and make you appear amateurish to your clients.

How to Drive Traffic To Your Web Site-----

One of the most popular questions I get when I speak about online marketing is how to drive more traffic to a web site. Eight different techniques for doing just that are outlined below. Save this article, and refer to it for additional ideas whenever you try to expand your online marketing campaigns:

- Business Blogging. Start a blog for your business and update it on a regular basis. A business blog is an excellent tool to toot your own horn, let the world know about your new products, and tell your target customers why they should do business with you, rather than your competitor. A business blog is also a great tool for attracting potential customers to your blog and your web site.

- Search Engine Optimization (or SEO). SEO is the process of modifying web page content and meta-information to improve the search engine ranking of the page. Successful search engine optimization will greatly increase the number of visitors that come to your web site since over 70% of people who are looking for products and services use search engines to locate them

- Article Writing and Publishing. This is another great way to drive traffic to your web site. When you write and publish your articles, other web site owners pick them up and publish them on their web sites, while giving you a link back to your web site.

- Newsletter Publishing. Keep in touch with your clients and potential clients by sending out a newsletter on a regular basis. Every time you send out a newsletter, don’t forget to invite the subscribers to visit your web site.

- Online Networking. Mention your web site address in your signature when networking online. Make sure that your web site is prominently displayed on the page, provided to you by every online networking service that you participate in, so that your fellow networkers can visit your web site.

- E-mail Signatures. Every time you send out an e-mail to one person, you have a chance to get an extra visitor for your web site. When you send an e-mail to a mailing list, you have a chance to spread the word to even more potential customers. All you need to do is to append a signature to every outgoing e-mail message. Make sure that the signature contains a powerful tagline that invites the readers to click on the link and visit your site

- Pay Per Click Search Engines. Here you can control exactly how many new visitors you want to get. There is a catch, though --- you have to pay for every click to your web site. Make a budget and stick to it an make sure to monitor your account – those clicks add up fast.

- Affiliate Marketing. An affiliate program is another way to drive traffic to your web site. Your affiliates are your commissions-only sales people who make money when they sell your products. They drive traffic to your web site in exchange for commissions on sales.

Today I have discussed eight different ways of driving traffic to your web site. Which techniques are you not using yet? Take one of the techniques and incorporate it into your marketing plan. You will get a whole new pool of web site visitors coming to your web site.

How to Effectively Promote Your Website----

1. Take advantage of the search engines. Submit your site to search engines. There are those that offer services free of charge. You can submit to Google, Yahoo, Altavista, Infoseek, Lycos and other trusted search engines. You can submit with an interval of 3 to four months. Try a redirection, if you cannot submit the real URL.

2. Do some reciprocal linking. This is one of the best ways to lead viewers towards your website. In this method, you exchange link with other websites. That way no site is disadvantaged. To find sites, you can again use the search engines.

3. Exchange banners. This is also one of the most productive ways to promote your website. However, they do not bring much traffic. Choose wisely when deciding banner ratios. Some sites are also offering paid banner submission. Decide on the matter cleverly. Select the ones with good traffic to influence your traffic as well.

4. Write articles and press releases. People wants to read news and tips more than reading ads. Moreover, a good number of articles and news releases with your website as footer is a promotional tool. Submit them to high-ranking sites in order to market your site.

5. Use meta tags. Always use the same on your site especially on the index page. The essence is that when search engines add up your homepage to their database, what they will look for is a special tag with keywords and description of the page. Give your title, description and keywords to make it easier for the search engines to locate you.

6. Patronize online classifieds. Millions of online ads programs are available in the net. Choose a category where your site belongs and add your site. Resubmit every 2 months to update them.

7. Make signatures. Use signatures which are linked to your websites. You can use these signatures when posting a reply in forums, chat rooms and guest books.

8. Maximize webrings. This is also a productive way of promoting. All you have to do is to find and join webrings which are similar to the topics in your site. They will bring in slow but stable traffic.

9. Do some promos. Promotions like discounts can be a tempting strategy that can boost both your traffic as well as sales.

How To Get Multiple Backlinks From Article Submissions----

One of the keys to ranking well in the major search engines Google, Yahoo!, and MSN is having lots of links to your website. But sometimes it's challenging to get those links – while once trading links was the way to do it, today it's hard to get those links with quality websites. This is partly because there's not a lot of room on those websites anymore, but it's also because reciprocal links, the way backlinks used to be arranged, aren't as attractive to the good sites. You get much more out of a link to a more popular site than they get out of a link from yours.

But if you offer something in exchange, your odds of getting that link go up a lot. The currency of exchange on the Internet is knowledge – quality website content. That's why many webmasters are turning to article submission services to promote their websites.

Using Articles to Get Links

Original articles placed on other websites are a fantastic way to get links back to your site. Not only do original articles showcase your knowledge and skills, they also include something called a "resource box" at the end. This box contains your name with two or three lines of information about you and your business, and a link back to your website formatted in any way you wish.

Services like RCPLinks.com use original articles to place your one-way links. With specialized submission software, they can get your articles, containing your resource box, out to hundreds of websites. Once your article is posted, each of these websites will send out a one-way link to your site from that resource box; even better, the sites your article is placed on have good rankings on Google themselves.

Whatever Happened to Reciprocal Links?

Once upon a time, something like a year or two ago in the fast-moving world of the Internet, reciprocal links in which you agree to link to someone if they link to you were a great way to make your site look popular. But the techs at Google and other search engines figured this out. Their search engines have been cataloguing who links to whom for a while, and it wasn't hard to figure out which pages linked to one another for no discernable reason except to spam links, and exclude those links.

This makes one-way links incredibly valuable. They're the primary link type you can be certain will count for you in the search engine races.

Reciprocal Links: Not Dead Yet

Despite the controls the search engines place on reciprocal links to prevent artificial inflation of your site ranking, there is still a place for reciprocal linking.

Sites that link to one another and that have some similarity in content are the ones that search engines still use to add to your rankings. But you can't do this with an automated submitter, though many online companies would like you to think you can.

Instead, you need to research manually and individually each potential link partner. You'll need to identify the partner, determine the site's suitability and compatibility for yours, and contact the webmaster to propose an exchange of links. This is amazingly time-consuming, but over time trading links can help you build your site ranking.

The best way to get your website jump-started in the rankings is through article submission. In the beginning, you need the web equivalent of a nitric oxide boost, not incremental steps. Trading reciprocal links can come later, when you have more time to devote to climbing in the ranks.

How to Hunt for Big-Game Backlinks----

In the first part, we discussed how backlinks bring you direct traffic in addition to increased search engine rankings. That’s totally awesome!

In the second part, we went into keys on creating a good backlink. This included choosing good places for backlinks, as well as making the link attractive to both search engines and people.

In this third part, we will get you started on where to start looking for backlinks so you can begin to build traffic, get more clients, and sell more products.

Getting started

As a coach, you are probably the last person who needs to hear this, but just like any endeavor, it’s good to set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timed) goals.

For example, if you aren’t getting any action at your web site because you have very little traffic, then a good goal would be five inquiries a month, six months from now.

The next step is to set aside time to get backlinks. A great start is to commit a measly one hour a week.

Backlinking takes time.

It takes time for you to find places to get backlinks. It takes time for other web sites to set up your backlink. It takes time for search engines to find those links.

Therefore, the next thing to do is set up a spreadsheet to help you keep track of backlink request that have not yet been fulfilled.

The spreadsheet should include:

• The web site you are seeking a link from
• The date you requested the link
• The title and description of the link
• A box to mark of when your link has been set up
• A place to put miscellaneous notes

Your first target – The Open Directory Project

The ODP (The Open Directory Project) is a general web directory that catalogs web sites on the Internet.

The ODP is a great place to start your backlinking program for two reasons.

The main reason is that many search engines hold The ODP in high regard – that is, if your web site is listed in The ODP, it must be a legitimate site. This helps your rankings.
Secondly, The ODP has simple, clear submissions guidelines which familiarize you with the process of requesting backlinks from other web sites.

The Open Directory Project is here:
www.dmoz.org

There are a lot of other directories and the number grows. To find more popular directories, simply do a search on “top web directories 2006.”

Take a second to celebrate!

Once you have gotten listed in The Open Directory Project, stop and celebrate!
Up to this point you have:

• Devised a linking plan.
• You have learned about submission policies.
• You broke past a common resistance point: getting started!
• You now have one of the most valuable links you can get.

You have created the core system of building your traffic. All you need to do is "rinse and repeat."

Next - Coaching-Specific Directories
You may not be aware of them, but there are web directories that are specific to coaches.
For example, www.lifecoachguide.com has listings of life coaches.

By getting listed in coaching-specific directories, your web site will gain higher rankings when people do searches related to coaching.

For example, if you get listed in a life coach directory, then your web site will rank higher for the term “life coach.”

These types of directories are easy to find. Just do a search on “life coach directory.”

Next - Coaching Organizations

Coachville is a great place for a backlink. Their link section is very easy for search engines to find, and the Coachville’s web site is very popular.

They are, however, making some modifications to their site which may eliminate the search engine value of getting a backlink from Coachville.

A backlink at ICF’s web site is good for possible referrals when someone is using their "Find a Coach” service.

Unfortunately, the ICF’s directory pages don’t give you a backlink that search engines can easily find (at the time of this writing). So your search engine rankings aren’t improved by being listed here.

Next - Other Existing Relationships

Many coaches belong to local networking groups like BNI or Chamber of Commerce.

Getting links to your site from these places are valuable because they are often easy to get, they give you more local appeal, and you often have a high degree of control over what goes into your link.

Happy Hunting

The above plan can keep you busy for months.

Over time, your tracking senses will sharpen and you will discover more and more places to seek for backlinks. Jot them down as you go.

You will see an increase in web site traffic and activity in as little as one to two months.

After about six months you'll be cooking!

How To Make Ads That Get Response----

Here are several suggestions on how you can improve on your color printing ads to generate more response you could ever imagine:

1 – A free prize or gift will always get people to keep your ads. People are generally excited every time they see or hear the word ‘free’. That’s why having it written in your copy can do a world of good of making your print ads valuable to your target audience. And don’t just give the freebie immediately. Create a contest or a puzzle before they can get the prize. Keeping them occupied with your ad makes it easy for them to hold on to your material longer. The more chances for you to convince them of buying from you.

2 – Always remind your target readers of their issues and make sure that you position yourself in your color printing ad that you become the only solution to their problem. Post questions that they will have to answer with either a yes or a no.

3 – A donation to a charitable institution always convinces people that the act of buying from you makes them more generous and socially conscious.

4 – Testimonials, especially coming from a famous person, establish your credibility and quality. Include a picture as well as their actual statements and you’ll surely get people to try your product or service.

5 – Include anything that was written about you and your business. If it’s a good review, then the better. This would add value to your copy, as well as increase your credibility in your target readers’ eyes.

6 – Get personal by including a hand written letter or signature. This extra bit can increase your appeal to your target audience. You can do it on a piece of paper, scan the document, and then include it in your ad copy.

7 – List all the famous and popular people who actually benefited from your products and services, and then include the list in your marketing material. Their names would add glamour and credibility to your color print ad.

8 – A before and after design usually gets attention. If the benefits of your product or service can be saved in photos and pictures, then add that to your print ad. Make sure to highlight the ‘after’ when the problem was resolved after a client used your product or availed of your service.

So the next time you begin creating your print ad, remember these suggestions and see how your marketing campaign generate leads to increase your sales.

How to Make Article Writing as Easy as ABC!-----

Writing and submitting articles is without doubt one of the most successful methods of driving targeted visitors to your website, growing your rankings and improving sales.

However, for most people article writing is a tough task as it brings back long gone often unpleasant memories of writing high school reports or university essays.

The good news is that by learning just a few easy moves, writing your own articles isn't as hard as it may first look.

One of the major obstacles most new writers face is finding ideas to write about. Often the simplest way to begin is to write about things you have, are interested in or enthusiastic about.

Once you have decided on a broad theme, a good way to narrow the topic down is to concentrate on the problems that people face. In general, people read articles because they want to be entertained or they are seeking a solution to a problem they face.

Writing interesting articles is an exacting and more complicated skill. However, writing informative articles that provide answers can be as easy as sharing tips that you have learned.

You may already know the universal problems that people have in your specific topic, but if not, a good way to find out is to frequently search related online forums and note the most common questions being asked.

If you don't have all the solutions, carry out some research to find the information you need. Frequently the answers are easily available by simply searching the major search engines.

Most people don't like to read huge documents online, so your article should be between 500 - 800 words. If you feel this is far too many words, then a simple trick is to split the article into smaller sections, such as an introduction,
a small number of sub-headings and a conclusion.

All you need to do then is to write about 50 words in each sub-section and before you realize it, you have written a comprehensive and informative article.

Most significantly, don't forget to add an "about the author" section where you can put details about how your readers can join your list or visit your website for further information about your topic.

The first draft should be for your eyes alone. Don't try to produce a finished copy as you write. It tends to be much faster to get your thoughts written down and come back to tidy up later.

The last step in the writing process is to proofread your article making sure that the writing flows and would be fascinating to the reader. Ask yourself, 'does the article supply answers the prospective reader is looking for?'

It can also be useful to have somebody else proofread the article. This is also the time to eliminate spelling and grammatical errors.

Once you have written your article, submit it to article directories. As your article gets published on other websites you will start to receive one-way links pointing back to your site. This will then help you to gain higher
rankings in the search engines, which will only help to direct even more traffic to your site.

Yes it does take time and effort to write articles, but doing so is the easiest and most valuable way of branding yourself, as well as driving limitless traffic to your website so you can build your list and increase your income. And isn't that what writing useful informative articles is all about?

How To Manage Directory Submissions----

'More than 80% of the traffic comes from the top ten search engines'.

You have probably read this statement many times and it's true at least for the majority of websites.

So how about web directories? Is submitting your site to them a waste of time?

Even if directories usually don't deliver a lot of traffic they contribute inbound links to your site increasing its link popularity a very important factor used by search engines to rank websites.

When someone queries a search engine using a keyword relevant to your site, higher is your site link popularity higher are its chances to come up near the top of the results.

Submitting your site to web directories will help you increase its visibility and attract more traffic from search engines.

However you need an overall strategy to successfully manage your directory submissions or you will only lose your time and energies.

Is your site ready?

You should never forget that directories don't exist to give away free links. Their purpose is to provide their visitors with good quality sites.

If you want some chances to get listed you need a well designed web site containing useful and original content or offering useful services.

Your site must also be complete without broken links or links to 'under construction' pages.

Other things that can cause a rejection of your submission are: too many ads (especially pop-ups and pop-unders), automatic redirections to another domain, having the same exact content of other sites (example: the 'self replicated' sites some companies provide to their affiliates).

Preparing your listing details

Open your favorite text editor and write down the following informations:

1) your web site URL.

2) your website Title. Some directories accept only the official site name as title, others allow some descriptive keywords, but in general stuffing a lot of keywords in your title is not acceptable.

Write 2-3 different titles in compliance with these different rules.

3) your website description. Write what your site is about in a couple of sentences. Avoid superlatives, exclamation marks, excessive hype and generally everything that makes your description sound like an ad.

Description should be written in third person. Avoid expressions like 'we offer', 'we are ...'.

4) a set of search keywords related to your site. Separate the keywords with commas, then write down the same set of keywords this time separated by spaces. Some directories require the first format, others the second one.

5) your full name and email address.

Once you have done save the document. By copying and pasting these informations into the submissions forms you will save time and avoid errors.

Or you can utilize Clipboard Magic. This free software allows you to save multiple rows of data and load them into the Windows Clipboard simply with a click of the mouse. It's really useful when you need to fill in many online forms with the same informations.

Finding web directories

The next step is finding directories where you can submit your site.

You can use top directories to find minor and specialized directories

DMOZ

Yahoo

Spend some time to determine how each directory is organized and find the most appropriate category for your site.

Submitting to the wrong category usually causes a rejection of your submission.

Compile a list of all directories where you have submitted your site indicating the date of your submission.

Verifying the results

Not all directories send you an email when your site is listed.

You should periodically visit your list of directories and make a search for your site title or url.
Flag all directories where you find your site.

If your site has not been listed after about 2 months from the date of your first submission you can try to submit it again. My advice is to not resubmit more frequently.

You can also contact the directory owner and ask about the status of your submission, but if you don't receive a reply, don't insist. There may be many reasons why a directory doesn't list your site, simply accept the fact that not all submissions are successful.

Submitting your site to web directories is an essential part of your website promotion strategy.
It's a time consuming task, but with the right planning you will be able to manage it successfully.

How To Massively Increase Traffic To Your Website----

This article gives advice and information on how to increase traffic to your website. There is obviously no point in having a superb looking, content rich site if only a few people can see it.

One of the best ways of gaining additional traffic is to build up the number of backward links you have pointing to your website. The best form of link is a one-way link, where a website adds a link to your site but does not get one back from you. There are a number of ways of obtaining these type of links including:

Writing articles. Writing articles like this one has many benefits. Other webmasters may add the article to their blog or website and this creates you a one-way link. The people reading the article are also potential visitors to your site.

Purchasing a text-link advert on a quality site. If the site in question has a high page rank value, this is then passed onto your site. The advert itself just like any advert can also attract people to your site.

Joining in debates in various forums. I enjoy reading and contributing to forums. Not only do I learn a great deal, I am also able to get links back to my sites when I make a comment.

Submitting your site to directories.

Making comments on other peoples blogs. This is my least favourite of all of these examples as it can be seen as spam. Other people however do think it can prove to beneficial. I must say that I stay away from anything that could be seen as spam.

Where possible the website which includes a link to your site needs to be in the same industry as your own website. These backward links have a much higher value in the eyes of the search engines.

I have to admit that it is extremely hard to obtain these type of links especially on a one-way basis.

What we therefore need is a solution and here it is. I believe it is a good idea to build a network of sites on the same theme as the main website. Each of the sites in the network has a link pointing to the main site and after promoting each of the sites, you will then have a number of themed and powerful one-way backward links which will make the original site like an authority in its own field.

If you are struggling to find content you could use other peoples articles to help you. It is a good idea to have each of the sites in the network on a different server. This however can be very expensive and therefore for a smaller business may not be best advice.

To help fund the cost of the network you could add google adsense onto all of the new sites. This may not bring in huge amounts of money but could go some way to helping with hosting and domain renewal costs.

In the future this network could be worth thousands of pounds if you have spent enough time promoting each site. At this stage you have the option of selling the network and relaxing or enjoying the benefits yourself that it will no doubt bring.

I believe the writing of quality articles for re-print and the building of themed network websites is the future of the internet for people who want to be successful webmasters. Good luck.

How To Start Off Your Advertising Campaign With Impact----

When you do call your prospects or talk to them to follow up on an offer, please do not start your conversation with “How are you”. Not only does it kill the conversation instantly, it also opens you to a lot of responses that you either are not ready for or that you don’t want to hear it.

For one thing, when you do ask this opening phrase, be sure that you can actually bear to hear your target client’s answer. Be prepared to care – a lot, if your prospect says that he or she is sick and is not feeling fine, or get a never ending political rant of how Obama is better than Hillary.

Secondly, with a call-killer like your “how are you”, it surely makes you lose control of the call and gets you off track. You must remember that the main purpose why you talked to the person in the first place is to pitch your business. But how can you do that if your client is already lecturing you of the hazards of getting married with someone who nags all day and all night.

Another reason why you shouldn’t open your conversation with “how are you”, the moment you utter the phrase, your prospective client is already on to you. And before you could even say your first word of your sales pitch they would have already turned you down flat.

Even with your ads printed by a commercial color printing company, you should also avoid words and phrases considered as “call-killers” so you can effectively give your piece without your prospective customers throwing you out even before they can read your whole story.

Having call-killer phrases in your ads not only give your potential clients the tip off that you’re going to start a sales pitch, you also give them the opportunity to reject you outright. And when they do, you’ll have a heck of a time trying to keep them interested in what you have to say.

You probably think that it’s the polite thing to say when talking to somebody. Then again, there are other ways to start your ads. Introducing yourself and going directly to why you’re there in the first place can be more effective and it gives you the power to take control of the connection.

It’s all about taking control of the moment. When you are in control you are more likely to provide the most effective ad and copy that your target audience can appreciate. Don’t risk blowing your opportunity of being able to convince your prospective clients of your business’ worth. Avoiding call-killer phrases can lessen, if not totally eliminate your chances of getting your target clients interested, and eventually making a sale for your business.

How to Survive and Thrive Your Business Online----

Success in a company is not about having the best technology or being the smartest or even about having the best customer service (although none of these could hurt). More than ever, success is now measured in speed. Today it is about thriving in an ever-evolving world where everything changes so rapidly – and that applies to any business. Today is a world surrounded by buyers who want it now, want perfection and impeccable service.

In order to succeed online, your business needs to be organized and able to handle the increased business your web site is going to generate. Here are some guidelines for running a business of speed and complete service.

1. Run your business of speed.
It’s a new phenomenon called Internet time; it’s a 24/7 kind of world today. This means if you’re business is not moving ahead 24 hours a day 7 days a week, your business is falling deeply behind. Internet time means not only doing business quickly but doing it anytime the customer wants and for as long as the customer wants it done. This I what the customers demand, and what every company doing business online needs to offer. The end result is a business that is always working, always aware of potential business, one that is always one call, email or fax away from their clients.

2. Having effective meetings means having short meetings.
Meetings are the annoyance of many employees workplace. They involve too little discussion, take up too much time, little gets accomplished, people ramble on too much, and respect and open discussion are often not granted. Meetings though are imperative, but the way in which they are run can definitely be changed for the better. Because the Internet world moves so fast, companies doing business online cannot afford to have unproductive meetings.

First set some genuine detail-oriented goals for the meeting. Let people have the option of attending, especially if the issues discussed have nothing to do with them. Post the meeting summary in a place commonly seen by employees, such as the break room. Start and end your meetings on time, and stay within thirty minutes to one hour. Have two or three shorter meetings through the day, with short goals to be accomplished by the next meeting. Also, don’t bore people with anything not on the agenda. Lastly, make the meetings enjoyable; use skits, slideshows, charts, even puppets to get your point across. These moments will likely stick in employee’s heads over the long, drawn-out boring ones.

3. Email several times a day.
In the Internet world, CEOs and employees alike uses technology to supercharge productivity. With all of the pagers, cell phones, laptops, personal organizers and more, email is definitely the most valuable tool. Set up email power sessions with employees; it allows for communication with many employees at the same time and resolves any issues fast. With an email message, you are ensured your message gets delivered to all the right people exactly how you wanted to say it, without the hassle of applying phone tag with employees or risk miscommunication and misunderstanding. Throughout the work day, make blocks of time strictly to email (sending and receiving) at least three to four times a day too.

4. Brand matters on the Internet.
If your business is going to succeed in the Internet world, you will not only need to capture the market share, but also work on improving customer relationships. Whenever your potential or current customers need your products or services, where will they go online? Which Web site will they choose first? Will it be yours? Some tips to increase your business brand online include discovering a way to position yourself as being unique from your competitors. Create the right image, and be sure you continue to reinforce that brand image in everything your company does online and offline. Increase the number of online visitors to your Web site through a variety of Internet marketing strategies. Even if your business only sells locally, do not be afraid to think and market yourself internationally on the Internet. Advertise, advertise, advertise. Remember the importance of earning your customers trust too.

5. The power of feedback.
Ask your customers for feedback, through emails, surveyed phone calls, feedback forms on your Web site, case studies and letters. Ask for feedback often, whenever you are testing out a new product, reviewing sales on an existing product or service, or simply because you want to know how your customers feel about your company. Don’t neglect receiving feedback from your employees too; they know your business too because they work with you.

6. Most importantly, have fun!
Create a working environment where your employees feel free to mix a little fun into their daily routines and express themselves comfortably. After all, a happy employee is a productive one. Let your employees know they are appreciated and needed too, and they will be proud to come to work with you.

The Internet world is about building a better business environment through increased communication, greater convenience, personal enjoyment and greater access to information. How does your business measure up online?

How to Use Press Releases to Promote Your Site, Gain Valuable Back Links and Rank Higher in The Search Engines----

If you are into search engine optimization (SEO), there is a great way to increase your presence on the web and rank higher in the page rankings- its called press releases. Just like newspapers and fortune 500 companies release press releases, so can you.

A press release is a document that is released to news organization and information services. If you have breaking news such as a great new product, a new service being offered or your company is now in a new market, then a press release can help spread awareness whether on the internet or off.

There are professional services that will create a press release for you as well as distribute the press release to specific news organizations and information services. While some of these services do charge a fee, it is usually inexpensive to get the word out on your web site or product.

By using press releases cleverly, you can rank higher in the page rankings by receiving one way links once your press release is posted on highly regarded web sites. Google and other search engines may see your site as being part of a trusted network of information. So if you want to increase awareness of your web site or product then look into press releases.

Once, you master the process, you'll be happy for the results but after a while, you'll probably have to face a problem : "Press release are effective but it's very time consuming to log and post manually to all these websites".

Hopefully, 2 smart guys Jeff Alderson and Rod Beckwith have released a powerful software that helps you automate the process and post you press release to hundreds of quality websites. I highly recommand it to you. It's name is Press Equalizer. you can take a look at all its benefits by visiting this link : http://tinyurl.com/zqrwh .

How To Use Sex In Advertising Without the Taboo----

Do you apply sexiness or sensuality in your marketing campaign? And I don’t mean the dirty or overtly pornographic type of materials that you commonly see in beer commercials or bikini ads. What I mean by sexy and sensual is that you create an advertising campaign using color printing methods that are extremely attractive to your target market.

If not, then it’s about time you should employ sexy advertising into your business life; but without the taboo.

When we say sexy, we mean advertising that is extremely and tremendously enticing to your target market. It is highly targeted, specific, and yet subtle that it leaves your audience feeling good and appreciative of your print ads.

So to use sex in your advertising without all the taboos associated with the term, you have to make your color printing materials attractive to the eyes and perception of your target clients.

So what is attractive to them? What makes an ad sensual? It all depends on what your target market perceives to be appealing. And it takes all the five senses for them to decide on what is appealing or not.

People are more sensual than what they would want to think. In fact, what is sensual to us greatly affects the way we decide on what to buy or not. When something appeals to our five senses in just the right way, we tend to purchase that product immediately and without question. Hence, if you could create an advertising material that can entice all the five senses then it would definitely get you the paying clients and customers you need to increase your sales.

Nevertheless, you also need to temper your sensuality when it comes to your advertising campaign. Too much of it can also ruin your objective. You know for a fact that having too much of anything is bad for one’s health; so does a print ad with too much enticements that they invade your senses. Too much stimulation and your target reader’s senses would be numb from all the excitement and adrenaline rush.

To overload your target readers¢ senses can also be your downfall. Nobody would deign to read and look at a marketing material with too much action going on. Crazy or not, but do you know that our brain conks out when there’s a high concentration of sensation present? Our brain can only take so much. So avoid trying to bombard your target clients with so many stimuli that they would want to dump your print ad in the trash just because it’s giving them a headache.

Having a sexy advertising campaign can do a world of good for your business. Why not try it? Who knows, it might just be the element you need to alter your results.

How to Use Web Directories to Boost Traffic to Your Site---

You just got your website online. Everything is setup and you're ready to go. Excitement is high and the time has come to open your virtual doors to the millions and millions of Internet users around the globe. You put out the cyber welcome mat and declare your site ready for action. But, instead of sitting and watching the users trample over one another to get to your site, you see little to no traffic.

Don't worry! This is something every webmaster goes through and is to be expected. (Well, webmasters in the late 90's expected to launch their site and be millionaires the next morning, but times have changed since those wonderful days!)

But there are some quick and easy things you can do to begin building your 'link network,' which will ultimately help drive traffic to your site. Since the Internet's conception, the notion has been that sites link to one another, while web surfers click from place to place. Thus, the challenge begins: Get your site linked to as many others as possible.

You can start contacting other websites offering to trade links (but be prepared to invest a lot of time); you can buy links (but be prepared to fork out some cash); you can join link-trading programs (but be prepared to get a lot of irrelevant sites linking to you); or you can start submitting your website to web directories.

What Is A Web Directory?
A web directory is a compilation of sites organized by category or topic. Most web directories have multiple levels of categories, progressing from general to highly specific. In addition, a web directory editor will likely have to approve your site, lending it at a certain degree of credibility. Being listed in a directory ensures that if a web surfer finds their way into a specific category, they don't just see your competitors, they see you! And, if they can see your link, they can click it, producing traffic to your site.

A Web Directory Listing Helps with SEO
If you have a website, you undoubtedly know the importance of ranking well in Google and other major search engines. These search engines count links from other sites as votes for your site, which helps determine your ranking, or position in the search results. There are a lot of other parts of the algorithm and this brief explanation doesn't do it justice. However, it serves the point that links improve your ranking, and that's something every website owner needs to know.

A link in a directory that is spidered by Google (and a lot are) will count as a vote for your site. This improves your ranking, and yet again helps drive traffic to your site. It's important to note that not all directories help with SEO. Sometimes, a web directory will link to your site through a special URL that is often a programming CGI script. If the URL is not a direct link to your site, then the search engines don't count it as a vote. Therefore, it's best to pick directories that offer a direct one-way link to your site. (This way, you get more bang for your buck: traffic from the directory and improved search engine ranking.)

Relevancy Matters
If you trade links with random sites, then you are theoretically building your 'link network,' but you are sacrificing the quality of that network. Web searchers who are looking for information on a particular topic often use resources that link to a variety of sites related to what they seek. This makes web directories the perfect destination.

Since directories are categorized by topics, a person can arrive in the directory and have one-click access to a variety of resources. You definitely want to be one of those resources! Plus, when the other search engines pick up your link, it will count for more since it is surrounded by relevant content, which is most likely filled with your important keywords.

As you build your link network, you'll continue to see increased traffic. And if you use web directories as your vehicle, you are essentially paving more paths to your site. Several good submissions in popular directories will help get you rolling. The best part is that many directories are free, so this jump start won't even hurt your bottom line.

How to Use Your Web Site to Make Money----

If you consider your web site a money pit, you are not alone. Quite a few business owners have told me that they have web sites because "everyone else has a web site", but they haven't gotten any business from their web site. None. Zero. Nada. Zip. Many of them have paid thousands of dollars to web designers to create the web sites for them, and than the web sites just sit there, gathering the proverbial Internet dust, and getting enormous traffic consisting of three to five unique visitors a month.

Your web site should not be languishing in one of the rarely visited corners of the Net. Instead, it should be working 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year getting leads and clients for your business. It should serve as marketing brochure and as your best salesperson (who incidentally never sleeps, and doesn't require either salary or commissions).

So how do you turn your dust collector into a lean, mean sales machine? First, you need to lay down the infrastructure for your online business. Here are three guidelines your web site should adhere to before its initial debut:

- Your web site must be easy to navigate, understand and use. When a web surfer comes to a web site and doesn't understand what the web site is about in the first few minutes, the surfer moves on to the next web site (trust me, there lots of them out there. Approximately 2.7 billion at last count, give or take a few billion).

If the purpose and intent of your web site is not blatantly obvious, a surfer will move on. If your web site is difficult to navigate, a surfer will move on. If your web site is hard to use (for example, it is not obvious how to contact you or hire you) a surfer will move on.

- Your web site must discuss what you do AND how what you do will benefit your customers. Let's say Sue and Jane are both weight loss coaches. Sue's web site says that Sue is a weight loss coach. Jane's web site says that Jane is a weight loss coach who helps women look and feel better by losing 30 pounds in 3 months.

Which coach sounds more appealing? The one who not only states what she does, but also shows what is in it for the customer. The site must answer a fundamental question: Why should I hire you?

- Have a newsletter sign up box on your web site. The majority of your web site visitors will not contact you about your services after visiting your web site, but they will subscribe for a free newsletter. By subscribing, they give you permission to send them your information-packed newsletter, which will also serve as a reminder about your business.

Without a newsletter, many people will visit your web site once and promptly forget about it 10 minutes after leaving it. By having a newsletter, you are able to capture these visitors, and tell them about your business again and again.

Take action today! Take a critical look at your web site and make sure that it conforms to the guidelines outlined above. A website that follows these forms a solid foundation for having a marketable web site for your business.
